New 1/200 B737 gravel kit & B787/General update

Hello everyone,

In today’s update, I want to announce the release of a new product: the gravel kit for the B737-200 in 1/200 scale. This was a requested item which I hope some of you will find useful for your models. While I used the master designs from the previous 1/144 and 1/72 scale versions, I adjusted several areas due to the nature of the smaller parts in this scale and including more spare parts along the way.

You can find the product at the link below:

I also want to take this opportunity to provide an update on a long and complex project: the B787 fuselage and interior set.

Below you can find images of the completed B787-8 re-design, along with a summary of the latest modifications to this project:

These updates were designed with two main goals in mind: catering to modelers building cutaway versions, and taking advantage of the new clear passenger window parts substituting the original donor thick plastic windows. Combined with the updated lighting setup, these improvements allow a good amount of visibility into the cabin from the exterior:

  • The galleys were redesigned with detailed reverse sides, which weren’t present in the earlier version. Additionally, the galleys now feature improved channels for LED wiring/new LED type, as I am transitioning toward a solder-free connection setup.
  • New floor sections between galleys were designed to accommodate passenger seats. Please note that seating and galley layouts vary across actual B787 aircraft; this is my “generic” layout, optimized for the scale fuselage wall thickness.
  • New overhead bin assemblies were designed to integrate a new lighting system that wasn’t available previously.
  • A new, dedicated LED mounting point has been added inside the cockpit.
  • Re-arranged LED positioning in the forward (FWD) and aft (AFT) cargo holds to illuminate the door opening areas.
  • The inner sides of the door frames now include mounting points for the flight attendant door linkage handles.
  • Structural adjustments were made to the floor panels and cargo holds.
  • The flight attendant seats and wall cabinets were rescaled transversely.

Due to the high density of seating, I may create a sub-product offering seat sets per cabin zone to keep costs more economical than purchasing rows individually as I have them now at the shop.

As with previous updates on this project, the galleys, cargo holds, seats, and overhead bins will all be available for separate purchase. This allows anyone to assemble their B787 in whatever configuration they prefer (such as FWD cargo hold only, etc.). Door plugs to cover unused exterior openings remain an option, just as in the earlier version.

Now that the core design updates are complete for the B787-8, I will be transferring these features to the B787-9 and subsequently the B787-10. While the galleys remain identical, the floor layouts and overhead bin runs for each lengthened variant will require dedicated fitting work.

Last but certainly not least, I am currently undergoing a major workspace renovation which explains why certain products are currently out of stock or low in inventory. While I am still processing incoming orders normally, there will be brief periods where production is paused as I work section-by-section due to space constraints.

I am also planning a major platform upgrade for the website. While I cannot specify exact dates yet, the site will be temporarily offline for short maintenance windows as this work progresses. I will post advance notice once the schedule is finalized. Some products will be fully discontinued as well.

Work continues across all active projects, I look forward to sharing more progress soon!

Best wishes,
Guillem
