Hello everyone,
Well, after several weeks of a lot of work, I have finally completed the fuselage molds for the B787-8, 787-9 and 787-10. It was not easy making molds of such size, but I have taken the chance to switch silicones and the experience has been fantastic.
This new release will not include extensions, but rather the fuselage itself already in the forms of either the -8, -9 or -10.
A subsequent step that was done right after the first fuselage was casted was to check the door positioning, fortunately, they do fit very well and it is quite simple to use the door frame or the plug counterpart. All doors fit the same on all the fuselage variants, for the exception of the AFT cargo hold on the 787-10 which has a different bottom shape to fit this particular variant.
I assembled the fuselage of the B787-10 and I am more than happy with the results, this is only an external model test, of course there are the galleys, cargo holds, doors, windshield, nose, the whole tail section that also form part of this model kit.
The next steps now that the fuselage molds have been completed are:
– Remake the windshields (new molding, new clear resin).
– Test/cast the tail parts as well as tail cone/APU.
– Make and produce the passenger windows (new clear resin).
– New moldings for the galleys, cargo holds, ceilings/floors.

Quick test with the original kit’s wings.

On the GSE front, I have been working on the last items that will make it into the next release, I want for these new items to be released this month, however, I do want to make an assembled and painted example of them for the webshop product pages, so it may take me a bit longer.
These are the new LD3 containers, there will be three versions and they will also be made in 1/200 and 1/72 scales. Decals will be included.

The wasp dollies were made a long time ago, however, only the main platform base was reused; the chassis and wheels are a new design and the platform also underwent some more extra detailing.

Last but not least and most meaningful to me; I am sharing today a digital painting that I commissioned to my very good friend Yana whose skills are absolutely brilliant. I asked her to make a digital art in the form of a KLM flight attendant, so that I would accompany it with a picture of one of my all time favorite liveries.

I wholeheartedly recommend any of you who may be interested in having such beautiful art, to send me a quick email and I will put you in contact with her. Yana is a true artist who would be more than happy to work alongside you to create the desired art you have in mind.
That is all for this update, I may not publish updates that often, but I don’t stop working on the projects and I keep on preparing all these new items to be released as soon as I possibly can.
I am also working on gathering new equipment to make my own boxes packaging, so there is no time to waste, yet so much to do.
Best wishes,
Guillem
